Cardlens (“the App”) is developed and operated by Keystone Cards (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is handled.

The short version: Cardlens does not collect, store, or transmit personal information. Card identification happens entirely on your device, and we do not operate accounts or servers that receive your data.

Information we do not collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, or any other personal information. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. We do not sell or share any data — because we do not collect any.

Camera

Cardlens uses your device’s camera solely to identify trading cards in real time. All image processing — card recognition and text reading — happens on your device. Camera images are not uploaded, stored on our servers, or shared with anyone. Scanned card thumbnails exist only temporarily within the App on your device.

Pricing data

The App downloads a public catalog of market prices as a static file from our content delivery network. This is a one-way download; the request contains no personal information and transmits nothing about you or the cards you scan.

Subscriptions and payments

Cardlens Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple — we never receive or store your payment details. To confirm your subscription status, the App reads Apple-signed receipts locally on your device. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Data stored on your device

The App stores small, non-personal preferences locally (for example, your monthly scan count and a cached copy of the price catalog). This stays on your device and is removed when you delete the App.

Children’s privacy

Cardlens is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no personal data, none is retained.

Data retention and deletion

We do not retain personal data because we do not collect it. Any data the App stores locally is deleted when you delete the App from your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version; material changes will accompany an updated App release.
